Position Description:

The campus minister for Liturgy and Sacraments is responsible for developing and coordinating the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for students, faculty, and staff, coordinating the preparation process and celebration of the Rite of the Sacrament of Confirmation, and supervising the part-time wedding coordinator.  As primary sacristan for the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, now nearly 150 years old and newly renovated, this campus minister welcomes a wide range of guests on behalf of the university, supports all feasts and major liturgical events, schedules chapel use and ensures that that all campus chapels and prayer spaces are well maintained.  As a member of the five-person liturgy team, this campus minister assists in preparation and execution of other sacramental celebrations and liturgical programs and collaborates in ministry with and for college students as a member of the 34-person campus ministry team.

This is an eleven month position (10 months full-time, 2 months half-time) with full benefits. Salary commensurate with experience. Required Qualifications:

Develops and coordinates all aspects of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for students, faculty, and staff. Serves as primary sacristan for the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception supporting all feasts and major liturgical events. Supervises part-time Wedding coordinator. Coordinates preparation process and plans for the celebration of the Rite of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Welcomes a wide range of chapel guests on behalf of the university. Schedules chapel use and ensures that that campus chapels and prayer spaces are well maintained. Serves as a member of the Liturgy team assisting in preparation and execution of other sacramental celebrations, and liturgical programs. Full-time 10 months (August – May) with full benefits plus 50% time during June and July (ie: 11 month equivalent).
