Opening in Moral Theology
Aquinas Institute of Theology invites application for a fulltime appointment as a regular faculty member in moral theology beginning 1 July 2018. Rank is open.
The school seeks applicants with an earned doctorate in moral theology. Experience with health care ethics is a welcomed additional competency.
Beside aptitude for research and writing, a successful candidate will show evidence of competence in teaching at the master’s level through online, hybrid, and on-campus courses. The successful candidate will be expected to share in teaching the moral theology curriculum to degree and certificate students pursuing ministerial vocations as priests, vowed religious, and lay ecclesial ministers. Core courses include Foundations of Moral Theology, Catholic Social Teaching, and Sexual Ethics. Courses in the Thomistic cycle also may be assigned. Students also include health care ministry leaders enrolled through the programs of the Ashley-O’Rourke Center for Health Ministry Leadership. The candidate also must show a promising research agenda (a three year plan) and evidence of collegial collaboration with faculty and staff, men and women, lay and ordained.
