The Aquinas Annual Fund was established in 1992 to provide financial support for our mission of theological education and benefit the future leaders of the Church. Annual fund gifts are primarily unrestricted, which means that the donor allows Aquinas to determine how the gift is used.
Since annual fund gifts are for current use they must be replenished annually. Gifts are made through cash, stocks or securities.
The Aquinas Annual Fund stresses the importance of participation in giving. Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. Anyone who is interested in Aquinas’ people, values and traditions is encouraged to provide annual support of the Institute through the annual fund.
How are annual fund gifts used?
Your unrestricted gifts to the annual fund enable students to receive a learning and formation experience of the highest quality. Gifts provide scholarship assistance, support curriculum initiatives and faculty development, help keep tuition down, improve facilities, secure equipment for student and faculty use and assist in the development of new programs.
What is the duration of the fund each year?
The annual fund begins on July 1 of each year and operates until June 30 of the following year.
How are funds raised for the annual fund?
Mailings seeking financial support are sent to former students and friends from August to May. Contact is also made through telephone calls and personal visits.
What is the Aquinas Institute’s Annual Giving?
Members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Society, the backbone of the annual fund endeavor, make an unrestricted annual investment of $1,000 or more to support Aquinas’ mission, vision, programs and people.
What are matching gifts?
Corporate matching gifts increase the impact of personal contributions from former students and friends. By including matching gift forms with a contribution, donors increase the value of their gift. Please check with your company’s Human Resources department to see if your company has a matching gift program. If they do, please complete and mail the form with your gift.
