Description:
Mercy Hospital Jefferson is a former community (public) hospital turned Catholic hospital. It is a hospital still in transition of what it means to be a Catholic faith-based facility. It is a 251-bed Level 2 Trauma Center.

Ministry includes facilitating leadership formation, assisting with co-worker rounds, facilitating mission council meetings and processes, rounding with co-workers and leaders and implementing processes and projects.

Requirements:
*The student needs to be comfortable in a health care environment.
 
Schedule:
Generally days, however there are options for nights and weekends if necessary; this is at the student’s discretion.

My work is to assist in removing barriers to the accomplishment of the goals. I value theological reflection time not only as a designated time, but also are part of the process of management.
 
Supervisor biographical statement:
Husband to Emily and father of two children, Augustine and Lillian. An Oblate of St. Benedict of St. Meinrad Archabbey, Dr. Bryson holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, a Master of Divinity from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis and a Doctorate in Christian Spirituality from Washington Theological Union, Washington, DC. He has served the past twenty years in retreat, parish, diocesan, Catholic higher education, seminary, health care, spiritual direction and formation ministries. He currently serves as a Vice-President, Mission for Mercy based in St. Louis, Missouri.
